Lake Glenbawn

With the date confirmed for the Lake Glenbawn shoot, our team of rangesetters went bush looking for some new shots to serve up to everyone & boy, did we find some! After some negotiating with the head honchos at the Park office, we were given the green light to use some previously unshot ground around from our usual club grounds.  With so much ground to choose from it was hard to decide exactly what to do. For every shot we decided on, another few would present themselves, giving us plenty of scope for the future.
But while we were rubbing our hands with glee over the new ground, the old ground presented some new opportunities. Our big grizzly in the open claimed numerous victims while later on the same range, two incredible downhill shots stumped just as many.
124 archers came along to take on the ranges & judging from the feedback, all ranges were very well received with a lot of variation in shots due to the diversity of the range setters’ ideas. Top Ten was exciting with 4 sitting on 274. There was plenty of interest as debutante Nicola Alam quickly disposed of Andrew Sherman & then went on to getting within a whisker of taking out the top prize from Grant Elsley.
The club would like to thank everyone who turned up & hope to see you all back again next year for more of the same—only next year we’ll do it even better!
